- Students will consider multiple perspectives on an issue by synthesizing information from a variety of sources including primary source documents. (CCSS RI.9, RH.2
- Students will analyze textual evidence and construct arguments. (CCSS W.1, WHST.1)
Before Teaching this Series
- Students should have some previous knowledge of the Bill of Rights and individual freedoms and rights.
- To introduce the Knowledge Set, ask students to discuss the following question in groups: Do you think government or law enforcement agencies should be able to access information from your digital devices (phone, online accounts, etc.)? Why?
