Actively Learn makes it easy to teach the same class year after year. Duplicating a class allows teachers to keep their class data separated from class to class. When duplicating a class, assignments will be duplicated and clear rosters. This will create new assign dates on your assignments which will help when viewing the gradebook and/or reports.
Please Note: This feature only works for classes that are created originally on Actively Learn. If you have imported the class from Google Classroom, Canvas, Clever, or Schoology duplicate class is not an option.
Best Practice: The date range picker in the gradebook and reports populate assignments by the date when they were first assigned. If you reuse a class, instead of duplicating, you will need to select the date when you first assigned text with your previous class to view the assignment data. For example, if you create a class and assign text in 2015 and reuse the class, instead of duplicating, you will need to set the date picker to 2015 if you are using the class in 2017 to populate any assignments.
