Welcome to the new Actively Learn workspace, catalog, and class view! We have redesigned our site and moved many features into more centralized locations to promote easier use and navigation.
Teachers can now click on the Folder icon to go to their Workspace and My Imports tab, which have been combined into one central location.
Teachers can now use the same filters (grade level, Lexile level, standards) in the catalog to filter the content in their workspace. They can toggle the filters on and off by clicking on the Filter & Actions button.
Teachers can also find the features from the old My Imports tab in their workspace filters. They can import internet articles, items from Google Drive (Docs, PDFs, Slides), import a PDF from their computer, create a quiz, and import videos from YouTube or Google Drive.
To assign a text from their workspace, teachers can hover their mouse over the text and click on the "+" button to assign the text to their classes.
To share an assignment with a colleague or to their school/district library, teachers can click on the 3-dot kabob menu when they hover their mouse over the text tile in their workspace.
- Learn more about sharing content with colleagues.
- Learn more about sharing to your school or district library.
They can also delete the assignment from their workspace from the 3-dot kabob menu.
New Bookmark Feature
Our star feature has been updated to the bookmark feature. Teachers can now bookmark assignments in our catalog and their workspace for later use. The bookmark option will appear on the text tile when the user hovers their mouse over it.
These bookmarked texts will appear in the Bookmarked folder in their workspace.
Our catalog has been moved under our new home Catalog icon. Teachers can click on this button to quickly switch to the catalog homepage.
Switching Between Subjects
To switch between subjects in our catalog, teachers can click on the Main Menu icon to open the new main menu.
Then, they click on the subject they would like to access (ELA, Science, or Social Studies).
Search and Filters
Our search bar and filters have been updated for our catalog. Teachers can now toggle the search bar on and off by clicking on the search button near the top of the catalog page.
Teachers can turn filters on and off as well by clicking on the Filters & Actions button. The catalog can be filtered by grade level, Lexile level, and standards.
Updated Text Tiles
Our catalog text tiles have been updated as well. Teachers can now see the text type (article, book, video, etc.) as a label below the text title. When hovering the mouse over the text tile, teachers can see how many pages the text is and how many minutes for video assignments, suggested grade levels for the text, and the text Lexile level.
Bookmarking and Assigning Content
Teachers can also click on the Bookmark icon to bookmark the text for later. Bookmarked texts can be found in the teacher's workspace in their Bookmarked folder. Or, users can assign the text directly from the catalog to their classes with the assign to classes "+" button.
Updated Menu Views
The sub-menus of our catalog is at the top of the catalog page, and, upon mouse hover, teachers can view the menus for our Curriculum Units, Genres, Themes, and News & Articles.
Our Curriculum Units have been updated with a fresh new look. Teachers can now see the standards that go with the units and the text types in the unit without expanding the full unit. Users can also click on one of the sub-units near the top right corner to quickly jump to that specific unit.
The Main Menu provides quick access to many features that teachers use often.
To view the Coaching and Administrator reports, users can open the Main Menu and click on those reports to view them for their school or district.
Switch to Student Mode and Profile
Teachers can also switch to student mode from the Main Menu, go to their profile, or sign out of their account.
To get to their classes, teachers can open the Main Menu and scroll to their classes and click on the one they need to access.
Switching Between Classes
Teachers can switch between classes by going to their Main Menu or clicking on their class names to quickly switch to another class.
Updated Class Headers

The main class settings are available in all class tabs and can be toggled on and off with the Filter & Actions button. The class settings include the following options: Edit class details, Reading settings, Grading settings, Co-teaching, Import assignments, Small group settings, Archive class, and Delete class.
