Both teachers and students have the ability to customize how they experience texts on Actively Learn.
In their workspace teachers can change text settings to better suit their working environment. Students can do the same in an assignment from their class view.
NOTE: PDF's do not include text settings.
STEP 1: Select the text
STEP 2: Select "Text settings"
STEP 3: Personalize the spacing, font size, color scheme, paragraph numbering, and font. You can "Restore Defaults" from this menu, too.
You also have authoring options within the text. Here is an overview of what you will find:
- Marking assignment as a quiz
- Request assignment review
- Report text error
- Remove questions by section
- Remove all questions and notes
- Hide text sections
If you are looking to add another teacher to work with on a specific assignment, you can select co-author.
You can decide to mark an assignment as a quiz. If you mark an assignment as a quiz, most of the sharing features will be turned off. Learn more about quizzes.
Are there errors with the text (typo, formatting, miscategorized, or anything else)? If so, please let us know by clicking "report text error".
If you are on a Team or School plan, you can request a an assignment review. One of our team members, made up of former teachers and well educated individuals, will look over your assignment and offer suggestions to help students read for depth!
Do you need to redo questions in a section? Or do you need to completely start over on annotating and creating questions? You can remove questions by sections or the entire text.
If there are sections of the text you don't plan on teaching, you can hide those sections of the text.
