Teacher assignment views

Teachers can view their assignments in two locations: the Workspace, and the class or classes where they are assigned. Depending on where you are viewing your assignment, you will have different options within the text and see a different top assignment menu banner. Below, we've outlined the assignment views in the Workspace and a class. 

Assignments in the Workspace

Every assignment a teacher has ever assigned, saved, customized, imported, or received from another teacher will be located in the Workspace. Texts in the Workspace are always editable, and do not have student work attached to them.

1. Go back to your Workspace
2. Text settings - text size, font, spacing, and more
3. Sharing options - co-author, send a copy to colleague, and add to school/district library
4. Authoring actions - mark assignment as quiz, report text error, and more
5. Print - Print out the assignment (Please note: Printing a text from the Workspace prints it from the student view - which means all questions will be printed without the answers marked)
6. Search text
7. Text information - Title, author, summary, source, number of questions and notes, and breakdown by standard
8. Assign text to a class
9. Contact the Actively Learn Support Team
10. View the text from a student view
11. Toggle between your different versions of the text and create new duplicates
12. Have the text read aloud
13. Expand or collapse the notes sidebar

Assignments in a class

Unlike in the Workspace, assignments in a class are not automatically editable, so if you are hoping to add questions or notes, you will need to first select 'Edit' in the top menu banner. This will bring up all of the Workspace options and allow you to edit the assignment.

3. Notifications - will see open revision requests
4. Print - Print out the assignment (Please note: Printing a text from the class prints it from the teacher view - which means all questions will be printed with the answers marked)
5. Search text
6. Text information - Title, author, summary, source, number of questions and notes, and breakdown by standard
7. Switch which class you are viewing the assignment from, or assign to more classes
8. Edit text - will bring you to the Workspace view
9. Contact the Actively Learn Support Team
10. Present Mode - present assignment to class
11. Have text read aloud
12. Expand or collapse notes sidebar
13. Expand or collapse grading panel
14. View assignment data
