Videos are a great way to supplement readings. With Actively Learn teachers can add their own videos and embed questions throughout.
FYI: Currently, YouTube and Google drive videos can be imported.
Importing YouTube videos
STEP 1: Click on the "My Imports" tab
STEP 2: From the add content dropdown select "Import Video"
STEP 3: Paste the YouTube URL, update the title (optional), select a content area, and click the checkbox for our Terms and Services
STEP 4: Click "Submit"
Importing Google Drive videos and audio recordings
Teachers can add videos and audio recordings stored on their Google drive using the share feature in Google drive.
Please note that if you are trying to add a video from a shared drive, you will need to first make a copy of the video file and add/move it to your drive folder.
- Select the video or audio file in Google drive, click on the kabob menu (3 vertical dot icon) and select the "share" feature.
- Click "Get shareable link"
- Make sure anyone with this link is set to "can view"
- Copy the link
- Paste the URL in the "Video URL" Field, fill out title and content area fields, click our Terms and Services checkbox, and then click submit.
