Full School/District Prime Plan
Integrating Actively Learn with Canvas allows teachers to sync grades, rosters, and classes. Teachers will be able to easily manage their class rosters in Canvas and sync changes to Actively Learn.
Important: Please have your district Canvas administrator contact our team to get started with connecting Actively Learn and Canvas. If you or your students do not see the Actively Learn selection in your Canvas accounts, you will need to contact the Canvas admins at your school to have it added.
Connect Actively Learn and Canvas
STEP 1: Open "Courses" menu from the left panel
STEP 2: Select a class from your list of course
STEP 3: Select Actively Learn
STEP 4: Authorize access for Actively Learn to sync with Canvas
STEP 5: You may be prompted to add some extra account information, depending on how your Canvas account is set up
STEP 6: Select "Get Started!" to automatically be redirected into Actively Learn
FYI: This will automatically sync your class and roster from Canvas. Students will appear grayed out in your Actively Learn roster until they start logging into Actively Learn with their school or district email.
Students connecting to Canvas and Actively Learn
Students are asked to authorize access for Actively Learn to sync with Canvas, if they decide to login through Canvas. The steps are the same for teachers and students. As long as the student's email is the same for all of their school or district integrations/platforms, then the student can login to Actively Learn through any login method to join their teacher's class.
Possible error messages
If you try to login to Actively Learn through Canvas and receive an "LTI account exists" error message, or a "LTI Session Error" message, please reach out to the Actively Learn Support team using our in-app chat.
